Tips for beginners
Early socialization is very important! Dogue De Bordeaux is a watchful and very protective breed. Sooner is better. Training should begin during puppyhood. This dogue should grow up understanding household rules and social manners and already trained in basic obedience skills. Remember, your dog is powerful and he can, if he wishes to, overpower you. Even Dogue De Bordeaux is calm, affectionate toward her people, and quiet, the Dogue is also naturally watchful, protective, and powerful, so he needs an owner who is in complete control.
